Police: Man arrested after meeting boy online, traveling to home for sex
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - A man faces charges after police say he solicited a boy online then traveled to his Virginia home with the intent of having sex with him.
Officers say that on Saturday, 51-year-old Kirk Jeffrey Jacoby of Bristol, Pa. arrived at the Front Royal home of a boy he had met on Facebook. Investigators say that after the two had exchanged text messages and phone calls, Jacoby traveled to the boy's home with the intent of taking him to a motel for sex.
When he arrived, the boy's parents intervened and Jacoby left. The police were notified and were able to track the man down at a nearby Budget Inn Motel.
Police arrested Jacoby and searched his room and vehicle.
At this time he is being held without bond.
