Police investigating homicide at downtown DC hotel

D.C. police are investigating a homicide at The Donovan hotel in Northwest D.C.

According to police sources, a man was found stabbed to death on the fourth floor of the downtown hotel located in the 1100 block of 14th Street.

D.C. police confirmed to FOX 5 that there is an "active investigation" at the hotel.

Hotel guests tell FOX 5's Marina Marraco that investigators have been inside one of the hotel rooms on the fourth floor facing 14th Street for most of Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Police were asking guests on the fourth floor to remain in their rooms for a period of time while they conducted their investigation.

Down in the lobby, guests were being checked for their room key before being let up on the elevators at the hotel.
