Police investigate homicide in Prince George's County after male found dead in Adelphi

ADELPHI, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police are investigating a homicide in Prince George's County.

Officers say 20-year-old Merlin Ramirez-Lara, of Silver Spring, was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside of the 8600 block of 20th Avenue in Adelphi Tuesday morning. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say they found Ramirez-Lara after responding to a welfare check.

Police are working to identify a suspect and determine a motive at this time.
