Police investigate homicide in Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Police are investigating a homicide in Hyattsville. Officers say they were called to Annapolis Road and Cooper Lane shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday for a call for an assault.

When they arrived, police say they found a man unresponsive and suffering from trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Detectives have not yet released information regarding a suspect or a motive.
