Police investigate apparent motel drowning

Police are continuing to investigate the apparent drowning of a man at a Maryland motel.

The incident happened at the Day's Inn Motel on Allentown Road in Camp Springs.

Family members tell FOX 5 that the victim is Troy Adams of Brandywine and say he had been drinking when the apparent drowning happened.

Family says motel management told Adams the pool was closed.

Adams apparently did not know how to swim, and while the incident appears to be a drowning, the medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
