Police identify man found dead in SE DC

WASHINGTON - Police have identified a man found dead near a Southeast D.C. apartment complex.

Officers responded to the 3000 block of Stanton Road just before 8 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an unconscious victim.

They found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim has been identified by police as 29-year-old Johnson Jonas of Southeast D.C.

It was the city's 98th homicide of the year.
