Police: Coach from Prince George's County sexually abused teen in Anne Arundel, Howard counties

A volleyball coach from Prince George's County is accused of sexually abusing a teenager in Anne Arundel and Howard counties, according to officials.

The Howard County Police Department said 46-year-old Marc Moore Jr., of Upper Marlboro, sexually abused a teenage girl at the Maryland Junior Sports Center in Jessup.

The 16-year-old girl reported that Moore, who was a volleyball coach at the center, began sexually abusing her when she was 15, according to authorities.

The police department said Moore is accused of inappropriately touching the girl in a private room. The teen also told investigators that Moore made her take nude photos for him.

According to detectives, the teen said similar acts took place at a home in Anne Arundel County. Police in Anne Arundel County arrested Moore on multiple counts of sex abuse of a minor, solicitation of a minor, fourth-degree sex offenses, and distribution and possession of child pornography.

Police in Howard County arrested Moore on similar charges, including sex abuse of a minor, and child pornography.

Authorities took Moore into custody Tuesday morning and he was being held without bail in Howard County.
