Police: 9-year-old sexually assaulted by 3 men since 2010

Three Manassas men are behind bars and are being held without bond after being charged with sexually assaulting a young girl multiple times since 2010.

The victim is now nine years old and first told family members about the assaults earlier this month.

FOX 5 spoke with the father of the victim, and as you can imagine, he told us he is angry and heartbroken about what his daughter went through, especially that it allegedly happened under the family's own roof.

The father of the victim said he learned about what happened to his daughter from police after she told a teacher at school.

"Her family members obviously alerted the department of social service and the police after learning of the allegations," said Officer Jonathan Perok, spokesperson for the Prince William County Police Department. "What we learned was there were three adult men who were not known to one another, who were renting a room basically out of this residence, and that these three men on separate occasions lived at this home, and since 2010, our victim has been sexually assaulted by these men.

"So it was pretty much one right after the other until the disclosures were made and the arrests were made."

Douglas Vladimir Monge Baires and Walter Antonio Canales Reyes face a long list of charges including rape. Santos Andres Flores Rios is charged with one count of indecent liberties.

The victim's father said he is relieved police have made arrests. Family members are surrounding them in support during this difficult time.

The victim's father also said their family is poor, he works long days as a landscaper and they needed the extra income that came from renters to make ends meet.

He said he is angry and hurt that someone they allowed in their home might have done anything to harm his child.
