Police: 10-year-old girl stabbed to death by 18-year-old family member; suspect still on the run
GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Authorities are looking for an 18-year-old man they say stabbed two young relatives at an Anne Arundel County home, killing a 10-year-old girl and injuring a 13-year-old boy. The stabbing happened Monday around 7:42 p.m. at a residence on the 6400 block of Roots Drive in Glen Burnie.
Police say when they arrived they found the 10-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds. Both were transported to a nearby hospital where the girl later died.
Police say the suspect, 18-year-old Andres Rafael Quintana Garcia, is related to both of the victims. He faces multiple charges, including murder and attempted murder, in connection with the crime.
He is described by police as a White/Hispanic male, approximately 5'05" tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Police say he fled the house on foot and was last seen wearing gray colored clothing.
Police say Garcia is considered a violent and dangerous subject.
