Peter Jackson's new documentary 'They Shall Not Grow Old' created from century-old WWI footage

Acclaimed director and producer Peter Jackson spoke with Kevin McCarthy on his incredible new documentary on World War I "They Shall Not Grow Old."

The film was a passion project for Jackson, whose grandfather fought in WWI.

Jackson and his team pieced the film together from 100-year-old black and white silent film footage from the war.

They were able transformed it with color, sound and 3D technology. The film is being shown on two select days, Dec. 17, and Dec. 27.

Jackson has also been working with director Christian Rivers to produce steampunk adventure film "Mortal Engines."
