Person of interest sought in University of Maryland Pokémon Go robberies
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland police have released two photos of a person of interest in the armed robberies of students playing Pokemon Go on campus earlier this week.
According to police, three victims in three separate incidents were robbed of their cell phones while playing the game by a man wearing a mask armed with a black handgun. A fourth victim also had their cell phone out, but was not playing the Pokemon Go game.
One of the robberies happened near Tydings Hall on the McKeldin Mall side while the other two robberies occurred near Queen Anne's Hall.
None of the victims were injured during the robberies.
