Pentagon metro station reopens after suspicious vehicle scare

According to Pentagon police at approximately 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a car jumped the curb in the Pentagon's south parking lot and crashed into a pole.

After the car came to a stop, Pentagon police say that they observed the three occupants not moving. Pentagon police called for backup from Arlington County Fire and Police to check out loose wires that were hanging beneath the car.

Arlington County Fire used a robot to clear the car of any explosive devices.

The Pentagon metro stop was shut down until the vehicle and scene was cleared. It is now reopened as police officials say that all three occupants are now in police custody and are being processed. They say it is likely to be drug or alcohol related.
