Pedestrian hurt after struck by vehicle in Jessup area

JESSUP, Md. - Authorities say a man suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the Jessup area.

The crash happened Monday around 6:47 a.m. near US-1 and MD-175.

Investigators say the man was transported to Shock Trauma. The driver remained at the scene.

Roads in the area have been closed. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
