Oil slick may have contributed to several crashes along outer-loop of I-495

WASHINGTON - A possible oil slick may be to blame for several crashes along the outer-loop of D.C's beltway Friday morning.

At least four crashes involving nearly a dozen vehicles were reported around 6 a.m. near Connecticut Avenue and Route 355 / Rockville Pike.

No serious injuries were reported. Officials say three people were hospitalized.
