Officer stabbed after domestic dispute in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after Baltimore police say he stabbed an officer after a domestic dispute inside a student apartment building.

Police say James Goss stabbed the officer several times in the face and upper body early Saturday morning. The officer was taken to a trauma center, where he was in serious but stable condition.

The stabbing occurred in the lobby of the Varsity Apartments, which houses University of Baltimore students. Police say a security officer called 911 after being threatened. Police say Goss and his girlfriend had argued over the keys to her apartment.
