Need the perfect anti-Valentine's Day activity? Spend it throwing axes

If you don't have any plans with your significant other on Valentine's Day coming up or if you have an "axe to grind" with an ex of yours and want to relieve some stress, a place in D.C. has the perfect activity you may want to consider on this special day - ax throwing!

Bad Axe Throwing in Northeast D.C. is calling on all singles to come by for some fearless fun while also inviting couples to do something non-traditional for Valentine's Day.

We asked the business how many couples they get to stop by to learn how to throw an ax.

"A lot," said Omar Dre Cooper of Bad Axe throwing. "In fact, most of our customers are basically just couples coming through here. They will come up holding hands kind of trembling coming up the stairs as they hear the thumps of the ax hit the wall and everything. But by the time they end up leaving here, they are throwing like baseball experts."

Bad Axe Throwing will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and it costs $20 an hour per person. They do take appointments, but walk-ins are also welcome.
