Mural dedicated to mom, 2-year-old daughter killed in alleged domestic violence shooting

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Leaders in Prince George's County unveiled a mural dedicated to the memory of a teacher and her daughter who were killed in an alleged act of domestic violence earlier this year.

The mural is dedicated to NeShante Davis, a first-year teacher at Bradbury Heights Elementary School, and her 2-year-old daughter, Chloe, who were gunned down as they were leaving their Fort Washington home in February.

The toddler's father, 25-year-old Daron Boswell-Johnson was arrested the following day and charged for their murder. Police say Boswell-Johnson confessed to the murders and that the shooting stemmed from a dispute over child support payments.

Local artist Jay Hudson and young people in the community created the artwork that will hang on the exterior walls of the school where Davis once taught.
