Multi-vehicle crash creates massive delays on Beltway Inner Loop at I-270 split

BETHESDA, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A multi-vehicle crash on the Beltway Inner Loop at the I-270 split created massive delays in Bethesda during rush hour on Monday.

All of the lanes were blocked for an extended period shortly following the crash.

Around 6 p.m., all but one lane had re-opened.

According to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson, one of the vehicles was overturned and at least one person was trapped.

He says emergency personnel are evaluating "several injuries."
