Montgomery County police looking for Rockville sex assault suspect

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Montgomery County police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted in Rockville early Thursday morning.

Police say the incident occurred on Shady Grove Road near the intersection with Key West Avenue around 6:10 a.m.

Investigators say the victim was walking on the sidewalk on Shady Grove Road when the suspect approached her from behind.

He then allegedly pushed her to a grassy area along the roadway and began to sexually assault her.

A passerby who heard the victim crying out ran to the scene and the suspect allegedly ran away.

The suspect is described as a man with a thin build.

During the incident, he was reportedly wearing dark clothing.
