Missing University of Maryland student Kaitlyn George seen in Baltimore, police say

Police say a University of Maryland student reported missing last week was seen on security video in a Baltimore neighborhood.

21-year-old Kaitlyn George was scheduled to meet a friend at the Eppley Recreation Center Thursday, November 10, for a hiking trip. When she didn't arrive, the friend notified police and reported her missing.

During the course of the investigation, officers say security footage was identified that showed Kaitlyn leaving Allegany Hall with a camping style backpack on Thursday. Officers say that she then entered a taxi cab on her own accord.

Investigators spoke with the taxi driver who said Kaitlyn was dropped off in front of a marina in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore City. A review of security footage from the marina showed Kaitlyn get into a waiting SUV on her own accord and by herself.

Police also say a witness reported seeing Kaitlyn on a Charm City Circulator bus on November 11, 2016, around 8:40 a.m.

Officers say they have no reason to suspect foul play in the case. Anyone with information on Kaitlyn's whereabouts is asked to call the University of Maryland Police Department at 301-405-3555.
