Metro operates under modified schedule on Labor Day

Due to the Labor Day holiday, all Metro stations opened at 7 a.m. Monday - two hours later than normal.

Trains and buses are running run on a Sunday schedule and there will be no Metro Access service.

Stations will also close at midnight.

Metro service information for Labor Day, Monday, September 5

On Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2016, Metro will operate service on the following schedules:

In addition, Metro's customer information line, lost and found and customer relations call centers will be closed on the holiday.

Weekend service adjustments September 2-5

Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of September 2-5 with service adjustments on four of six lines. Trains will operate as follows:

Labor Day service information. On Labor Day, Monday, September 5, Metrorail will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at midnight. Trains will operate on a Sunday schedule. Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at all Metrorail parking facilities.

Red Line
Trains every 6-20 minutes | 7:00AM Saturday until Closing Monday

(Update 9/04/16) Rhode Island Avenue station to reopen Sunday at 12:00 p.m..

Single tracking between Silver Spring & Glenmont to allow for communication cable installation.

Red Line trains will operate:

Orange Line
Buses replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Minnesota Avenue | 7:00AM Saturday until closing Monday

Orange Line trains will operate as follows:

From 7:00 a.m. Saturday through closing Monday, buses will replace Orange Line trains between Stadium-Armory and Minnesota Avenue. Please add 12-15 minutes of travel time.

Silver Line
Trains every 15 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East & Ballston only | 7:00AM Saturday until closing Monday

Silver Line trains will operate every 15 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only. Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.

Blue Line
Buses replace trains between Stadium-Armory & Benning Road and between Franconia-Springfield & King St | 7:00AM Saturday until closing Monday

Blue Line trains will operate as follows:

From 7:00 a.m. Saturday through closing Monday, buses will replace Blue Line trains:

Stations Closed: Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street

Yellow Line
Regular weekend service Huntington to Mt. Vernon Sq only | 7:00AM Saturday through closing Monday

All trains will operate to/from Mt. Vernon Sq rather than Fort Totten. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt. Vernon Sq should use a Green Line train to complete their trip.
