Metro makes adjustments aimed at improving Huntington-Pentagon express shuttle

After the first week of the summer Metro shutdown brought complaints of shuttle drivers getting lost and long waits to get onto a bus, Metro is making adjustments at its Huntington station.

Last week, the Pentagon express shuttle was making multiple stops to pick up riders from both the north and south sides of the station. Starting Monday, Metro says it will have dedicated shuttles for each side, aimed at improving wait and commute times.

Metro has also made adjustments to bus stops to improve traffic flow at the station.

Riders told FOX 5 the system appeared to run more smoothly Monday with the shuttle and bus stop changes, but they also said it did not significantly change their trip times.

Metro says the platform improvement project impacting six stations south of Reagan National Airport on the blue and yellow lines will continue until September 8.
