Md. police make nearly 2 dozen arrests in drug crackdown

The Washington County Narcotics Task Force has announced more than 20 arrests in connection with a drug crackdown.

It involved the distribution of heroin, crack cocaine and synthetic marijuana.

Authorities say agents purchased heroin inside the Washington Gardens apartment complex in Hagerstown and other locations nearby.

Officers executed five search and seizure warrants on June 24, including four at the Washington Gardens apartment complex, which resulted in several arrests. Authorities later rounded up more than a dozen suspects on July 6.

The suspects face numerous drug distribution and possession charges.

Authorities say there are more indictments to be served and officers are looking for other people involved in the investigation.
