Man suspected of robbing Montgomery County bank two Sundays in a row

ROCKVILLE, Md. (FOX 5) - Rockville Police say they are looking for a suspect who they say robbed the SunTrust bank inside of the Safeway on Shady Grove Road twice in just over a week.

Montgomery County and Rockville police say they were called for reports of the bank robbery at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the bank at 14939 Shady Grove Road in Rockville.

Officials say the suspect demanded cash, which he took before leaving.

They say they believe the suspect is the same person who robbed the very same bank the Sunday before on Jan. 27. During that incident, police say the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash, which he obtained from tellers before leaving the bank.

On Sunday, Feb. 3, Montgomery County police K9s searched the bank, grocery store and outside area.
