Man struck, killed by U-Haul truck in northeast DC

WASHINGTON - A man is dead after being struck by a U-Haul truck in northeast D.C.

The accident happened around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday near 4th Street and New York Avenue.

Police say the driver of the truck remained on the scene. The intersection was closed for several hours overnight and reopened around 4:30 a.m.

The victim has not been identified. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
