Man in serious condition after shooting at Silver Spring home
SILVER SPRING, Md. - Montgomery County police say a person was shot Thursday night in a quiet Silver Spring neighborhood.
The shooting happened at around 7 p.m. at a home in the 9500 block of Clement Road. Police say the two suspects knocked on the door of the victim's home.
"The suspects were at the front door and there seems to have been some sort of conversation," said Montgomery County Police Captain Stephen D'Ovidio. "At that point, we don't know what happened after that. We haven't been able to talk to the victim. He is in surgery ... But there was some type of argument or confrontation at which point he was shot."
The male victim suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Police say the suspects took off running and likely got into a silver car.
The victim's son, who is believed to be between six and eight years old, was inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to police.
