Man in custody after forcing standoff with police in Fairfax County

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Fairfax County police say a man is in custody after prompting a standoff on Forrester Boulevard in Springfield on Friday.

Police responded to the scene after multiple reports of a man "behaving erratically."

Police closed off the roadway between Rexford Drive and Royal Ridge Drive as the incident unfolded.

The man has not been identified, and police have not specified what kind of behavior prompted the cause for concern.
