Man critically injured in Northeast DC shooting; 2 suspects in custody

WASHINGTON - D.C. police say they have taken two suspects into custody after a man was shot Friday evening in Northeast D.C.

The shooting happened at 15th Street and D Street at around 5:43 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Two weapons were also recovered in connection to the shooting, according to D.C. police.

D.C. Police Commander William Fitzgerald said they were able to catch the suspects quickly due to the increased police presence in the area.
