Lovettsville bank robbery at BB&T

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office say that they are investigating the Friday bank robbery of the BB&T bank on East Broad Way in Lovettsville.

Police say that around 5:00 p.m. two unknown persons entered the bank. One of the suspects handed the teller a note demanding money while the second suspect threatened with a firearm.

The two suspects left the bank with cash and are believed to have fled the area in a blue SUV, police say.

Police describe the first suspect as a Black male, 6' tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. The second suspect is described as a Black male, 5'8" tall with a thin build. The area was searched but no suspects were located.

Loudoun Sheriff's Detectives have released surveillance video stills from the robbery of the suspects. Anyone who has any information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective W. Promisel of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
