LOCATED: Elderly man from Gaithersburg located safe

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - UPDATE: Police say they have located 80-year-old Shankar Nath Ghose safe and unharmed.

A Silver Alert has been issued for an elderly man last seen in Montgomery County.

Police say 80-year-old Shankar Nath Ghose suffers from dementia and was last seen leaving his residence headed for Diamond Square Shopping Center on Bureau Drive in Gaithersburg on August 30th at 8 p.m.

Ghose is believed to be driving a blue 2015 Ford Fusion with Maryland tag 9BZ9329.

He is described as an Indian male, 5-feet-three-inches-tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. It is not known what he is wearing.
