Light, steady rain on Friday; sunshine and warm temps in time for weekend

Cool temperatures and rain showers likely Friday as we take a break from the mild weather. But don't worry, says FOX 5's Mike Thomas, as warm air returns in time for the weekend!

You'll need your umbrella today as light but steady showers are expected for the better part of the morning and afternoon. The wet weather system is expected to move through our region into the evening before we finally see some breaks in the rain.

There is light -- in the way of sunshine -- at the end of the tunnel, Mike says. After a cloudy start on Saturday morning the skies clear and we'll see highs around 70 degrees. Sunday looks even better with temperatures around 74 degrees. Watch out for a possible Sunday evening shower, Mike says.

The warm weather sticks around with temperatures near 80 degrees on Monday and around 72 degrees on Tuesday -- but each day comes with the threat of rain.
