Leesburg man in critical condition after shooting

LEESBURG, Va. (AP) -- Police say a Leesburg man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times during an altercation and they have a second man in custody.

Police say they were called around 11 p.m. Friday to a home in the 800 block of Rhonda Place SE for a report of a shooting. Police say when they arrived they found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Police say the man was taken by helicopter to a hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police say a second man, 29-year-old Jacob Timothy Kinsey of Leesburg, was charged in connection with the shooting and has been ordered held without bond.

Police did not release the name of the victim.
