Julia Child's former Georgetown home on the market for $1.1 million

A Georgetown home where famed chef Julia Child once lived is on the market for just over $1 million.

The 150-year-old yellow house on Olive Street has been vacant for some time.

Child and her husband, Paul, bought the home in 1948 before leaving for Paris. They returned in 1956.

Not much is the same from the time Child lived in the house. FOX 5's Lena Burns took a tour of the property, including the kitchen where Child created the culinary magic that captivated us all.

The listing agent admits the home needs some work. Asking price is $1.1 million.
