Human remains found in Prince William County identified as missing 16-year-old boy Palmer Marsh

Human remains discovered in a wooded area in Prince William County has been positively identified as a missing teenage boy who was reported missing last month, police said.

The Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the remains found by detectives in the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road in Nokesville on Wednesday at around 3 p.m. belong to 16-year-old Palmer Curtis Marsh.

Marsh was last seen on May 2 after leaving his Nokesville home following a disagreement with a parent, police said. Authorities had been conducting several ground and aerial searches around the area since he was reported missing.

At this point, police said they do not believe foul play is suspected in Marsh's death.

Detectives are awaiting the final autopsy results from the medical examiner to confirm the cause and manner of the teen's death.

Police are still investigating Marsh's death.
