Huge snowball fight rocks Dupont Circle

WASHINGTON - Bored after several days stuck inside, D.C. residents took to Dupont Circle for a Star Wars-themed snowball fight.

The fight was organized by the Washington D.C. Snowball Fight Association and kicked off around 10 a.m. Sunday.

In a play off of the recent, record-breaking Star Wars film, the event was named "Snow Wars: The Snowball Strikes Back."

FOX 5's Erin Como and Kevin McCarthy were down in Dupont for all the fun.

McCarthy, armed with a lime-green lightsaber, took a few snowballs to the face, but left the event with a huge grin.

No word yet on how his snowflake suit fared, though...
