Hazmat situation creates delays along Interstate 66 in Haymarket

HAYMARKET, Va. - A vehicle fire and hazmat situation closed Interstate 66 in Haymarket Monday morning. The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-66 near the exit to Route15.

The busy interstate was closed for several hours while road crews worked to clear he roadway.

No injuries were reported.

A cause for the accident has yet to be determined.
