Hagerstown Police Officer shot in the line of duty
HAGESTOWN, Md. - A police officer responding to a domestic violence-related call was shot Thursday morning.
What we know:
Hagerstown Police Department says officers responded at 5:00 a.m. to the 700 block of Forrest Dr.
A male suspect fired a round at an officer, striking him in the arm.
The suspect barricaded himself inside the home.
The officer underwent surgery and is in recovery, according to officials.
