Gone fishin: Students using gap year to fish around the country make stop in DC

Two students are using their gap year to go fishing together.

WASHINGTON - Many students who graduated from high school last spring are using 2020 as a gap year before heading off to college.

FOX 5 photo journalist Jesse Burkett-Hall caught up with two students from Northern Virginia who are delaying school to go fishing instead.

Luke Konson and Daniel Balserak were planning on attending Clemson in the fall before they had a change of plans.

The pair have made stops in states including Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Iowa and Wisconsin – and today they were in D.C.
