FOX Beat: Leonardo DiCaprio stars in new film, 'The Revenant'

In the new film, 'The Revenant,' star Leonardo DiCaprio portrays real-life frontiersman Hugh Glass, who is attacked by a bear and abandoned by his hunting party. The film follows DiCaprio's character as he uses his survival instinct to find his way home and to track down those who left him for dead.

FOX 5's Kevin McCarthy spoke with DiCaprio about the decision to bite into a real bison liver in one of the film's scenes.

"Pain is temporary, film is forever. you realize you have one shot at making a sequence look good and look authentic. that's the whole objective of this movie" he told Kevin. DiCaprio said his piece of liver looked like a "big bloody pancake" and that he think it helped the movie.
