FOX Beat: 'Geek Out' winners review 'Victor Frankenstein' with Kevin McCarthy
WASHINGTON - After sorting through tons of reviews from die-hard DMV movie geeks -- FOX 5's Kevin McCarthy picked five of the best!
The winners of the 'Geek Out' movie review contest met with our own resident film buff to watch 'Victor Frankenstein' and to give us their takes on the film.
Nicole Jennings, an artist and aspiring film maker, said she thinks the comic relief fell flat while Sarah Turner, a self-described future film maker, said the movie was very visually appealing.
Alex Rugsby, a student who loves film, enjoyed the narration and flashbacks used throughout the film.
KaDesh DuBose, a freelance photographer, said the film tried to be too different from the original but liked the performances given by James McVoy and Daniel Radcliffe.
Danielle Iman, a freelance editor, liked how the movie shed some light on Igor, a character little is known about.
The winners of the 'Geek Out' contest gave us their final reviews of the film, 'Victor Frankenstein.'

Mr. McCarthy said visually, the film was very well done, however the story didn't grab him. He said he felt the script and the screenplay were lacking and led to him not caring for the characters.
