FOX 5 partners to help Safeway's School Spirit fundraising campaign

WASHINGTON - FOX 5 is partnering with the Safeway Foundation's School Spirit fundraising campaign to help K-12 public schools in the District, Maryland and Virginia raise funds for school supplies and school projects.

Each Safeway store has partnered with a local school and will accept donations on the school's behalf at the store's checkout stands.

The campaign will continue to receive donations until Aug 31. Last year's efforts helped raise more than $260,000.

FOX 5's Allison Seymour and Tucker Barnes will join Jalen Robinson and Talon of DC United at the Safeway located at 3830 Georgia Ave., NW on Wednesday at 2 p.m. as they push to help raise funds!
