Flooding, downed trees and power lines follow heavy thunderstorms

Mother Nature put on quite the show Monday night with plenty of thunder, lightning and heavy rain.

The severe storms left behind some damage throughout our area, from downed trees and power lines to flooding.

A number of roads and intersections in Alexandria turned into virtual rivers.

More storms are expected Tuesday, but the heaviest have moved through the area.
