Firefighters respond to early morning blaze in southeast

Firefighters responded to a blaze in southeast D.C. Friday morning.

The fire stuck a home on the 3000 block of 7th Street around 3:30 a.m.

Witnesses say flames were shooting from the windows of the house as firefighters arrived.

It is unclear if anyone was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
