Federal government to open on 3-hour delay Wednesday

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The federal government says its offices in the Washington area will open three hours late Wednesday.

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management, which sets leave policies for 300,000 federal workers, says employees should plan to arrive for work no more than three hours later than usual. Employees also have the option of unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

Federal offices in the capital have been closed since shutting down at noon Friday ahead of a storm that dumped about 2 feet of snow on the city.
