Fatal fire in Bethesda, MD

A man has died after a house fire in Bethesda, MD,

A Montgomery County Fire spokesman says around 4:20pm on Sunday, they went to a house fire in the 5200 block of Danbury Road in Bethesda, MD.

There was smoke coming from all three floors of the house when they arrived.

Fire crews found a injured man in the front yard of the house. That man was taken to Medstar Washington Hospital Center to be treated for burns and smoke inhalation.

In the basement, a body of a man was found. His name has not been released.

A Montgomery County Fire spokesman says crews were hampered in their efforts by hoarding condition in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
