Fatal crash on Buckeystown Pike

Frederick County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday evening at approximately 8:50 pm.

Deputies say that they responded to Lilly Pons Road at Buckeystown Pike in Adamstown for a vehicle crash involving two cars, a F250 and a Madza 626.

Police say that the preliminary investigation has revealed that the F250 was traveling on Lilly Pons Road, and ran the stop sign, striking a vehicle on Buckeystown Pike. It continued onto Oland Road where it rolled over several times before coming to rest.

Responders say that there were five people in the F250, and two were ejected from that vehicle. One of the ejected passengers has been identified by Police as Luke Clemens Bartlett, age 20. He was found deceased at the scene.

Police say that the other ejected passenger was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Two others were transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for their injuries. The driver of the F250, has been identified as Cole Laban Abernat Hallyburton, age 20 of Frederick, was arrested at the scene.

The investigation further revealed there were three people in the Madza 626 at the time of the crash. The occupants were transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Frederick police say that all family notifications have been completed and the investigation is ongoing.
