Fairfax County school band director sentenced to 12 years in prison

A Fairfax County music teacher charged with soliciting a minor has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Laurence Einuis was arrested in June 2014 for engaging in an inappropriate conversation with a 14-year-old male student. He was also charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor in a second case after another victim came forward.

The 53-year-old was a music teacher and band director at West Springfield High School.

Einuis will serve five years of probation after his release from prison and will have to register as a sex offender. He is also not allowed to have any contact with his victims or have unsupervised contact with minors.
