Facebook asks for nude photos from Australian users to combat 'revenge porn'

The social media network, Facebook, is combating 'revenge porn' in a very unique way in Australia.

Facebook launched a pilot program in Australia which involves users sending the social network nude photos in order to create a hash, or a digital footprint, to enable users from uploading a similar photo to the site.

A spokesperson states in order for a photo to qualify as 'revenge porn' an employee of Facebook must view the image first for themselves.

According to FOX News, after piloting in Australia, Facebook plans to test the program in the United States, Britain and Canada.
