Empire Scoop: What you need to know about season 2

Suffering from "Empire" withdrawals? FOX has come out with news about season two that will make fans happy!

FOX has ordered 18 episodes of the hip-hop drama, which is six more than the first season. Season two will be split into two sections. Part one premieres in the fall.

Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz have all signed on to guest star on the show. There are also rumors that Common and Oprah will appear in the upcoming season.

As if that's not exciting enough, singer Ne-Yo will be joining Timbaland as music producer to come up with original songs for the show. Can they top "You're So Beautiful?"

One thing that's not changing is the time slot. The new season of "Empire" will air at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.
