Elderly man suspected of armed bank robbery sought in Calvert County, police say

OWINGS, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Authorities have released photos of an elderly man they say is suspected of an armed bank robbery earlier this week in Calvert County.

The Calvert County Sheriff's Office says the suspect is in his 60s and robbed the PNC bank in Owings, Maryland Thursday afternoon.

Surveillance images show the man wearing a red plaid shirt, a camouflaged hat, gloves, a mask and glasses. He appears to be armed with a handgun.

Police say he fled in a white Ford, two-door pickup truck with a white cap over the bed. They have since located that vehicle but the search for the suspect continues.
